RESULTS AND HIGHLIGHTS
Fall 2021
Record: 3-4-1
Quinnipiac University
10-0, L
Our first match of the season ended with the result we were not hoping for. We ended the first half 2-0, but it was not enough to pull out a W. Despite the goals against in the second half increasing, the team played more cohesively after a half-time pep-talk.
Central Connecticut State University
4-0, W
After another full week of practices, our team found itself and came back to win 4-0 over CCSU after a loss to Quinnipiac. Liz Poulin, Sam DeFrance, Ava Marion, and Marcy Moreira all scored once to bring our total goals for the match to 4.
Sacred Heart University
2-2, T
Our home match ended in a result of a tie, but we held off Sacred Heart until the middle of the second half. Christie Czajka scored the first goal of the match off of an assist from our goalie, Shea Milburn. Ava Marion netted the second goal in order to even out the match in the last 10 minutes of the second half.
Trinity College
2-0, W
Hartford carried on their season for a night match against Trinity College. Katie Shea scored the opening goal with an assist from junior, Bre Germain. Senior Kelly Insalaco netted a second goal in the end of the first half from Katie Shea, concluding the match's score.
University of Connecticut
13-0, L
The match vs UConn was a tough one for Hartford. Due to a scheduling error, we did not have the amount of players we would've liked.
Yale University
4-1, L
After a long and tough weekend packed full of matches, Hartford was not able to pull out the win against Yale. Junior, Bre Germain, was able to net one off of an assist from Freshman, Marcy Moriera, to disallow Yale having a shutout.

Fairfield University
4-2, L
Hartford played one of their better matches against Fairfield this year, but fell short in the last 10 minutes where Fairfield netted three goals to take the lead. The first goal for Hartford came from Freshman, Marcy Moriera, assisted by Senior Kelly Insalaco. The second goal came in the first 2 minutes of the second half from Senior, Fiona O'Donnell, who had a breakaway.

RESULTS AND HIGHLIGHTS
FALL 2019
Record: 2-7-0
Quinnipiac
3-1, L
Our first match of the season ended with the result we were not hoping for, but by the second half our team was playing as a unit and was able to save us from a shutout. Sophomore, Kelly Insalaco, crossed the ball from the right corner to one of our new members, Ava Marion, who netted the ball in the left lower corner.
UConn
7-0, L
Directly following the Quinnipiac match, we faced the number one team in our league, UConn. We were able to hold their team off for most of the first half. They were unable to score from through balls thanks to our strong defense and talented goalie, Mara Owens, but capitalized on scoring when they were awarded corner kicks.
Sacred Heart
4-0, L
The first half of our game against SHU was rocky, but after a half-time pep talk and reconfiguration, we were able to finish out strong in preparation to improve for our next match against UNH.

New Haven
2-1, L
Sunday evening we headed to New Haven's turf field. Within the first five minutes, we were in the lead. Senior, Marlise Burtley, received a through ball on the left sideline and beat the UNH goalie in a foot race to slide the ball into the net. Hartford let up two goals, one in the first half and one in the second half, while unable to net any more goals. Despite the score, this was Hartford's best game as a new team this season with promise of improvement.
Trinity
5-3, W
Our first and only home match of the league season was held Friday night under the lights on Hartford Athletic's home stadium. The game was a nail biter with Trinity continuing to tie up the score throughout the match. Freshman Ava Marion scored the first goal of the match, which was then followed up by a successful PK that was awarded to Sophomore, Fiona O'Donnell. Sophomore Kelly Insalaco netted a pair of goals in the second half to bring Hartford to a 4-3 lead. Marion then finished the match out strong by finishing off of a free kick served by our President, Samantha Anderer.
Yale
4-0, L
The first game of our double header on Sunday didn't show the score that we were hoping for. After an early lead from Yale and a 20 minute delay due to goal issues, Hartford had a few breakdowns and missed connections. Yale was able to capitalize on those, which ultimately ended with Yale taking the W.
Central Connecticut
2-1, L
The second match of the day was a close one. Central scored early, leaving Hartford playing catch up. At the half, it was 1-0 in Central's favor. Hartford was connecting well, but had difficulties finishing. Senior forward, Marlise Burtley, saw Central's goalie off her line and decided to shoot from the 40-yard line, which equalized the score. Central was able to capitalize once more to finish the game off with the win.
Fairfield
3-1, W
Hartford snagged their second win of their season at Fairfield University with a 3-1 win. Fairfield started the match off strong by scoring first within the first few minutes. Kelly Insalaco answered Fairfield's lead with a goal to tie up the game. Freshman Hailey Price gave Hartford to the lead with a goal of her own, assisted by Insalaco. To solidify Hartford's win, Senior Olivia Wilson scored unassisted from the 35 yard line within the last five minutes of the second half to finish the game strong.

Wesleyan
2-1, L
During Hartford's last league match of the year, they fell short. At halftime, the score was tied at 0-0, but shortly after the second half started, Wesleyan took the lead. Freshman Hailey Price tied up the match to 1-1, but Wesleyan answered with another goal, leaving the final score 2-1. Hartford played well in their final match, but unfortunately the score does not reflect the game.
